This necklace features an amazing double-sided vintage Mardi Gras doubloon from the Krewe of Mid-City dating back to 1969. Today doubloons made of plastic or aluminum are thrown from floats during Mardi Gras. At one time these vintage heavy guage doubloons were not thrown, but handed out due to their weight. This medallion has great detail and is the perfect conversation piece!
